It's pretty common for Koreans to shave their baby's head at least once or twice believing that it will make their baby's hair grow back thicker. I'm not sure if there's any truth to it. I personally did not shave my baby's head and it looks fine to me.
There's even a company that sells hair pieces for your baby called
Baby Bangs! I thought it was hilarious! I guess it's created for little girls so they don't get mistaken for a boy. I think it's totally unnecessary but I guess there are moms willing to go to these lengths to have their baby's look more "girly."
