How to Make Your Own Ddakji 딱지접기

Looking for a fun Korean craft to do with your child? Here is a basic method of making your own Korean ddakji (딱지접기).

Step 12: End product should look like this. Make several more and now you can play Korean ddakji! Here's a link of our prior post on what Korean ddakji is.

Step 11: Tuck in the last red side under the green as shown.

Step 10: Fold over last red side as shown.

Step 9: Fold over the other green side as shown.

Step 8: Fold over red side as shown.

Step 7: Fold over the green side as shown.

Step 6: Place red piece on top of your green piece as shown.

Step 5: Make creases as shown.

Step 4: Flip over and fold the back as you did in the front. Should look like this.

Step 3: Make a crease in the middle by folding it in half and then bring edge over to middle to make fold as shown above. Do this to your other green piece as well.

Step 2: Fold in half the origami paper. Do this with both sheets (red and green).

Step 1: Get 2 pieces of Origami Paper. If you don't have it, you will need to cut 2 pieces of paper so that each sheet measures 6 inches x 6 inches.
